West Africa Pharma & Healthcare Expo Kicks Off in Accra with 3,000+ Participants

The 5th Edition of the West Africa Pharma and Healthcare Expo 2026 officially kicked off this morning (Monday, June 8) at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) Auditorium, bringing together healthcare leaders, pharmaceutical manufacturers, policymakers, investors and medical technology experts from across Africa and beyond.

Under the theme “Advancing Healthcare. Connecting Africa,” the three-day event (June 8–10) is already attracting significant participation, with over 100 exhibitors and more than 3,000 participants expected from across 10+ countries. The expo is being organised in collaboration with Astrovision Global FZCO of Dubai and ACE Group from India.

What’s on Display

The expo showcases cutting-edge healthcare innovations including pharmaceuticals, laboratory technologies, healthcare IT systems, medical devices, digital health solutions, wellness products, dental products and herbal medicines. This positioning makes it a strategic hub for knowledge-sharing and business partnerships within Africa’s growing healthcare ecosystem.

According to organisers, the event aims to create direct engagement opportunities between investors, global partners, healthcare institutions and policymakers. More than 100 scheduled B2B meetings are expected to foster meaningful collaborations across the sector.

Why It Matters for Ghana

The expo’s timing is significant for Ghana’s healthcare sector, offering local pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers a platform to showcase their capabilities to international investors and development partners. This is particularly important as Ghana continues to position itself as a healthcare innovation hub within West Africa.

The event runs through June 10, with multiple networking sessions, knowledge-sharing forums and business development opportunities scheduled throughout the three days.
